Interview
Q: What school are you currently attending?
A: I got my AS in science from Community College of Philadelphia and would be continuing my BS in Biochemistry at Temple University from the fall.
Q: What year will you be starting in the fall?
A: It would be my 5th semester- rising junior
Q: Why did you choose to attend the DREAM program?
A: To get hands on experience and get a feeling of working as a researcher in the lab environment. It was also to get some valuable knowledge from the program.
Q: Who are you working with, and what research are you doing?
A: I am working with Dr. Christopher Li, Bingbing Wang and Xi Chen in polymer processing lab. We are trying to come up with polymer nanofibers which mimics the properties of lotus leaf - its superhydrophobicity and water repellency. In other words, we are trying to make polymer nanofibers which would have water repellant capacity and superhydrophobicity.
Q: What are your goals/aspirations for the future?
A: would like to do either MD or PhD in biomedical engineering to do research.
